Occupational Outlook Handbook - An encyclopedia of careers describing a range of occupations.  Students can learn what to expect from a job, including the nature of the work, training needed, and earnings.

 

Bureau of Labor Statistics – Here you can find information and statistics about jobs nationwide.  You can also find regional employment figures and job outlook for specific jobs in different parts of the country.

 

U.S. Department of Education - Office of Post Secondary Education

 

The College Board – This is a service for students, parents, and educators about colleges and what to expect from a college. 

 

College Search – This site helps you find the right college and gives you detailed information about the college, how to plan, apply, and pay for college.

 

Think College?  Me?  Now? - A popoular resource for students in middle school.  It explains why students should consider college, how to prepare academically, and how to pay for college.

 

College Opportunities On-Line (COOL) - This site links to over 7,000 colleges and universities, which will allo the student to search for a school by name, location, program, degree offerings, or a combination of cireteria.

Career Resource Center – The Career Resource Center is a complete index of employment related web sites.  There are over 7,500 links to jobs with major employers, jobs posted in major newspapers, and jobs in Internet news groups as well.  You can find links to state employment offices along with career advice.

 

CareerBuilder.com – This site offers a wide variety of job finding opportunities.  The site also contains Online job fairs and job searches as well as some job applications.

 

CoolWorks.com – This site connects you to thousands of jobs in great places.  Includes and employer index and job count for your use.  It also includes a recruiter schedule, dates, and locations for job fairs.  The site also offers a job list for specific states.

 

The Princeton Review – This site has 25 links and sub-links to help you find colleges, take ACT and SAT tests.  Princeton Review will help you if you are trying to find a career, go to college, or pursue medical, law, business, or graduate school.
